Co-Lead PreK Teacher

Summary Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children? Huguenot UMC Preschool is looking for a patient and compassionate childcare teacher who has experience working with children ages 0-5 years old. This teacher will help with implementing developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy physical, social, and emotional development for students. Our small class sizes and student/teacher ratios, along with supportive families and staff, create a warm, family-oriented school community that makes coming to work a joy. Duties Responsibilities include: Working with Co-Teacher to set and follow daily routine Interacting with children through conversation, reading, singing and playing Writing weekly lesson plans with Co-Teacher Communicating with parents regularly related to classroom accomplishments and children's progress Writing bi-annual progress reports with Co-Teacher Requirements Requirements are 12 credits in college level early childhood education training or a CDA, along with experience working with preschoolers, patience, creativity, and a love of children. A background check is required. School hours are 8:00-5:30. Schedule (20-40 hours per week) varies from year to year based on enrollment and your availability. Nice To Haves Associates degree or bachelor's degree a plus.
