Requisition Title: SIA - CHM110H5F Chemical Principles I (TA Administrator and Course Support) Position Type : TA Administrator and Course Support Course Title : CHM110H5F - Chemical Principles I Course Description : Matter and its transformations are studied at the macroscopic level. Topics include stoichiometry, phases of matter, equilibria, thermodynamics and electrochemistry. Number of Positions (est) : 1 position. Positions are dependent on actual course enrolment, and are not guaranteed. Course Enrolment (est): 920 students Hours of work (est) : 81.5 hours Class schedule : ttb. utoronto. ca/ Sessional dates of appointment : September 2023 – December 2023 Salary : CUPE3902 Unit 3 Salaries. The rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Qualifications : Ph. D. in progress or completed in Chemistry. Expert knowledge in contents covered in the course required. Previous experience working as a TA Administrator and Course Support required to be able to tactfully and efficiently provide administrative and course support to the instructor for best course delivery within the Uof T's standards. Good communication skills are required as well. Description of Duties : Duties will include revising/designing new experiments, producing quiz papers, providing course instructions and materials to TAs on PRA and TUT classes, coordinating the TA schedule and the signing of TA's DDAH forms, administration of make-up/late and missed course work, ensuring that students registered with Access Ability are given proper accommodation, conducting office hours, record keeping of marks, and monitoring course email and responding and delegating appropriately.
