About the RoleThe Financial Advisory Managing Director serves the leader of a client delivery team and plays a critical role in achieving our company's mission, combining financial management expertise with emerging skills as a general business manager. This position is primarily client facing and focused on relationship management and driving business. This individual will work independently with clients to understand their business and leverage their team resources to provide strategic and operational leadership though the delivery of actionable data, information, and insights. Expectations & DutiesLeadership and Team Development· Lead and inspire a team of senior managers and staff auditors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.· Build and develop the technical and leadership skills of your team through coaching, mentoring, and professional development initiatives.· Promote a culture of excellence, integrity, and client service within your team.Client Management· Build and manage strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and exceeding their expectations.· Lead and oversee complex audit engagements, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to professional standards.· Proactively identify and address client concerns, delivering solutions that add value and mitigate risk.Technical Expertise· Remain current on the latest developments in accounting standards, auditing methodologies, and industry trends.· Apply deep technical knowledge and judgment to complex accounting and auditing issues.· Identify and assess potential risks and recommend effective controls to clients.Business Development· Manage a P&L (Size of P&L dictates level of Director).· Contribute to the firm's growth by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.· Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources and industry contacts.· Participate in thought leadership initiatives and industry events.Key Competencies Required for Success1. Positive impactRequired Education & Experience· Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, computer science, or a related field· 15+ years of professional experience in a Big Four Audit, National Accounting, Management Consulting, or Professional Services firm· Experience working with C-suite leadership in a consultative capacity· With a financial go-get in place, the ability to close potential business, augment existing projects, and cross-sell over our three Business Units Preferred Experience & Philosophy· CFA preferred· Foundation in accounting principles, financial statements, auditing standards, and financial reporting.· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to identify and assess business risks, review financial documents and statements for accuracy and completeness, and develop practical and innovative solutions to meet client needs· Precision and accuracy to produce financial information that is error-free and complies with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards· Written and verbal communication skills are to interact with clients, team members, and leadership regularly, ability to clearly articulate findings, recommendations, and results in a concise and professional manner· Strong commitment to providing clients with exceptional service and building long-term relationships, while always ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards· With a financial go-get in place, the ability to close potential business, augment existing projects, and cross-sell over our three business unitsE78 Partners is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
