Our dynamic construction company is looking for an experienced construction superintendent to plan and manage our projects. You’ll be in charge of managing general contractors, hiring subcontractors, and maintaining safety and compliance at the construction site. We are looking for someone with 5 years of construction field experience and a passion for managing others. Responsibilities: • Hire subcontractors and verify that they have all the required permits• Log daily records of progress and repair updates for the project manager and homeowner• Analyze subcontractor productivity toward timelines and performance goals to ensure that the project is on schedule to be finished on budget and to the highest possible quality• Address the project's costs with clients to ensure that it remains within budget• Submit a plan for homeowners that includes a cost estimate for the job• Ability to read, understand, and implement Architectural, Structural engineering, and civil engineering plans• Monitor subcontractors and daily activities on the site ensuring strict adherence to plans and specifications• Complete field reports and update the project schedule as necessary• Maintain communication with the Project Manager on all issues pertaining to the plans• Follow the project schedule to meet completion dates• Understanding the scope of work and ensuring work is completed according to the contract• Understand, follow, and promote job site and company policies and procedures• Inspect work being performed on the project to ensure quality is being achieved• Follows safety regulations and procedures• Identifies and corrects safety violations• Ensures the site is kept clean, safe, and secure at all times Qualifications: • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles• Current general contractor license • Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills• Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office software • At least 5 years of previous experience as a general contractor required, preferably with some additional managerial experience Compensation: $85,000 base + bonus About Company: Thakkar | DC is headquartered in Houston, TX and has been designing and constructing landmark residential and commercial projects in the State of Texas since 2017.
