Practice Area: Criminal Law - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm in Midland, Texas, is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney to provide proactive client care and exceptional quality service in handling cases. Recent law school graduates who have successfully passed the bar are encouraged to apply. Texas Criminal Law experience is preferred, and candidates must be licensed to practice law in Texas. Duties:Provide proactive client care and exceptional quality service in handling cases.Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including but not limited to, misdemeanor and felony cases.Conduct legal research, analysis, and case preparation.Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the case. Requirements:Recent law school graduates who have successfully passed the bar are encouraged to apply.Texas Criminal Law experience is preferred.Licensed to practice law in Texas. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Texas. Skills:Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Attention to detail and analytical skills.Ability to empathize with clients and provide compassionate representation.
