Salary: This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $18.00 an hour. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience. Location: This position is located in INDOT's Indianapolis Area. A Day in the Life: Complies with INDOT Safety Policies and Procedures. Moves and loads supplies and materials, including usage of tire disposal machine. Winter operations duties including snow and ice removal. Performs equipment maintenance such as: minor repairs, preventative maintenance, filling, and preventative maintenance inspections. Performs miscellaneous labor tasks. Assists with implementation/improvement of Maintenance programs, procedures, and project planning Assists in ensuring that the facilities and grounds are in a constant state of survey readiness froma maintenance perspective Initiates repair parts order request and recommends items for inventory stock and monitors' use Assists in repairs to various facilities motors, panels, transformers, lighting systems, brinemakers, lift stations, concrete patching/repairing, etc. Performs other duties as assigned What You'll Need for Success: High school graduate or equivalent(preferred).
